Role in the project
UNIUPO (P4) will contribute to bibliographic and patent search and will actively participate in the management of IPR. UNIUPO will be involved in the development of nanomaterials to be used in the deposition of barrier layer with fire retardant properties by atmospheric pressure plasma system and their testing and respectively nanomaterials for surface reactive additivation as a further adhesion promotion of noble metals such as Silver. UNIUPO will perfom studies on the interaction between EM waves and co textile structures, physical and chemical tests to assure the functionality and stability in real environment of the sample tests and prototypes. Finally UNIUPO, thanks to the subcontract to Environment Park S.p.A. will take care of the improvement of adhesion by plasma deposition and treatment and contribute to comparative LCA analysis for both substrates (yarns and fabrics), matching innovative versus traditional technologies, it will evaluate the environmental impact and suggest the best solutions and approaches for the innovative processes, focusing on the benefits coming from the use of plasma technology.
